Financial advice?
I need some advice …..
I have about 9 thousands dollars debt that I would like to pay off ….
Its from a credit card a few years ago that went bad …
I had a personal crisis and wasn’t living in my own country so I just left it and thought it would disappear , I was young and stupid and also I thought I was never going to return to my own country and then something happened , I met the love of my life and we moved back to Australia as it was easier with visa issues etc . Now the thing is , I have the bad debt lingering around , well they didn’t contact me as they don’t know I am back in Australia , but now that my partner and I are very serious and are considering getting a house in the next years , I thought I had better sought this out asap because it can affect my suture right when we want to get a home loan etc .
I don’t know what do , if I should try to get a 19 thousand dollar loan ( if anyone will lend to me ) or if I should consider a debt consolidation loan . Can anyone help me ?
Any advice , tips or info much appreciated .
Thanks

Debt Consolidation – Good or Bad Idea?
My mother is over $20,000 in debt due to impulse buys and necessary home repairs. She has 3 credit cards and had things paid off or nearly so until the repairs came up. She owns her own home but may lose it due to the debt.
What are the pros and cons of debt consolidation? Which places are legitimate if we decide to go that route? (I’m helping her look into various avenues.) Do they charge for their sevices or are they free? How do they work?
Any tips on preventing this kind of thing from happening in the future? She does cancel cards as she gets them paid off since she doesn’t want to be more in debt.
The mortgage on the house was paid off last year. It is the home repairs made since then and a buyout of one of the credit card companies by another bank that has her in financial straits. She has been paying above the minimum amount owed on all 3 cards for some time trying to get them paid down.

Can I get a debt consolidation loan with bad credit?
I would like to get a debt consolidation loan for my outstanding debt from closed credit cards, old utility bills, etc
I have student loans, but I would like to consolidate them separatley and not through another loan.
Also, I have an auto loan, would the loan be able to cover that as well?
Please, real answers, and no opinions/judgements.
Thank You.

Getting out of high interest credit card debt?
We have a high balance on some high interest rate credit cards. We own our home…I am wondering if there is any tips or info on refinancing and including our credit card debt into the refinance or debt consolidation. I don’t know much about it. How much is normal to be charged for these things? What is a good trustworhy business to go through? What are my options? Am I just going to get myself into deeper debt?
